Russell MacCrimmon
Russell MacCrimmon's litigation practice focuses primarily
on labour and employment law. Russell prides himself on providing
practical, direct and honest advice to clients. He is a committed
advocate who represents clients with passion and persuasiveness.
Russell has appeared before various courts, tribunals, and
arbitrators on behalf of his clients, including the Ontario
Superior Court, the Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Public
Service Labour Relations Board.
Russell grew up in Ottawa. He received a Bachelor of Arts with
Honours in Political Science and Law from Carleton University.
He went on to Queen's University where he received his law degree
in 2001. Russell was called to the Bar of the Law Society of
Upper Canada in 2002 and is a member of the County of Carleton
Law Association.
While at Queen's, Russell spent much of his time at Queen's
Legal Aid where he represented the interests of individuals
in employment disputes, landlord and tenant disputes and criminal
law matters. He was awarded the Dennis Marshall Contribution
Award and the Community Commitment Award for his outstanding
contributions to the law school and surrounding community.
Russell spends his spare time with his family and friends.
He also enjoys a wide variety of sports including golf (rain
or shine), hockey, soccer and softball.
