JIM O'GRADY MEMORIAL YMCA/YWCA HOCKEY TOURNAMENT 2010

 

On Wednesday, March 3, 2010, Mann & Partners participated in the first Jim O'Grady Memorial Hockey tournament held at Scotia Bank Place. 

  

The event was organized by friends and family of the late Jim O'Grady to honour his memory and spirit as well as to raise funds to support the Capital Campaign of the National Capital Region YM-YWCA to name the new men's health club at the Y the "Jim O'Grady Health Club". Mr. James O'Grady was an accomplished and well respected Ottawa lawyer who shared a passion for the legal profession and the sport of hockey.  

 

The team of Mann & Partners, named "No Manners", included lawyers, staff members, clients and friends of the firm.  Mann & Partners is proud to have supported this charitable event and looks forward to next year’s tournament.

2009 Campaign for Ruby Ribbon Club

The Ruby Ribbon Club is a fundraising initiative which allows local businesses and professionals to support nine local charities with a donation towards the expenses of the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life Ottawa campaign. Mann and Partners supports this worthy cause through its associate, Colleen Hoey, who is working hard on this year’s Organizing Committee, and as a member of the Ruby Ribbon Club.

Mann and Partners, LLP Sponsors 2009 Show Tune Showdown 

 The 2009 Showdown will be hosted by Tone Cluster, a local choir. Three teams of singers, each representing an Ontario arts organization, will sing a selection of Broadway and off-Broadway show tunes in front of three local celebrity judges. The team garnering the most points will be awarded the grand prize of $500 for their organization. Mann and Partners, LLP will provide a prize of $250 to the second place team.

Ontario minimum wage increases to $9.50 per hour
