Ontario minimum wage increases to $9.50 per hour

The general minimum wage under the Employment Standards Act, 2000 is increasing to $9.50 per hour effective March 31, 2009. For more detailed information about minimum wage (including exceptions to the general rule), please visit the here.

In addition, employers are reminded that all Ontario workplaces are required to post the Ministry of Labour’s Employment Standards Poster. You can print a copy of the poster here.
