Russell is a member of Mann & Partners’ civil litigation group. His practice is focused on employment and human rights law.  He provides advice and representation to his clients in all employment related matters including severance packages, employment contracts and policies, harassment complaints, workplace health and safety, wrongful dismissal and human rights claims. Russell prides himself on providing practical, direct and honest advice to his clients.

Russell has appeared before provincial and federal courts and various administrative tribunals on behalf of his clients, including the Ontario Labour Relations Board, Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. He is a committed advocate who represents clients with passion and persuasiveness. 

Russell grew up in Ottawa. He received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Political Science and Law from Carleton University. He went on to Queen's University where he received his law degree in 2001. Russell was called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2002 and is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association.

While at Queen's, Russell spent much of his time at Queen's Legal Aid where he represented the interests of individuals in employment disputes, landlord and tenant disputes and criminal law matters. He was awarded the Dennis Marshall Contribution Award and the Community Commitment Award for his outstanding contributions to the law school and surrounding community.

Russell spends his spare time with his family and friends. He also enjoys a wide variety of sports including golf (rain or shine), hockey, soccer and softball.
