I am a civil litigation associate at the firm, with a strong focus in employment law. I have experience with various litigation matters, including negotiations, mediations, drafting pleadings, and appearances before courts and tribunals.
I was called to the Bar of Ontario on June 18, 2021. Prior to this, I had the pleasure of spending the summer of 2019 with the firm as a summer student, and I subsequently completed my articles with the firm in June of 2021.
Before legal practice, I was classically trained as a chef and worked in the culinary arts for over 15 years. While working as a chef, I changed my career trajectory by completing my Social Service Worker Diploma. Subsequently, I graduated with High Distinction from the Bachelor of Social Work at Carleton University where I won the University Medal in Social Work.
I graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2020 with a specialization in Labour and Employment Law. While at Osgoode, I was the recipient of the Osgoode Summer Internship Program Award, the Carswell Prize in Administrative Law, and the Wendy Babcock Social Justice Award. During this time, I had the honour of working in multiple community legal clinics, where I fought tirelessly for my client’s legal rights.
Outside of my work life, I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling, and revisiting my passion for culinary arts through hosting dinners or simply enjoying a nice meal out. Additionally, I continue to stay active in Ottawa’s non-profit community and on the board of directors for the CrackUp Comedy Festival.
If you have any civil litigation matters that you need assistance with, I would be happy to help.
