I work as a member of the commercial litigation group at Mann Lawyers. In 2022, I completed the joint Juris Doctor and Masters of Arts program with the University of Ottawa and Carleton University’s Norman Patterson School of International Affairs. I then had the privilege of completing my articles at a small and fully-remote firm based in Ottawa until my call to the Ontario Bar in June 2023. While articling, I worked on litigation matters in a wide variety of practice areas, completed a number of statutory compliance reviews, and assisted in conducting various third party investigations that focused mainly on the areas of sport, workplace, and professional liability. My articles also included an intensive month working exclusively in estates litigation.
During law school, I worked in the University of Ottawa’s community legal clinic in the criminal law division where I was charged with managing files from the first client interview to the last court or tribunal appearance on the client’s behalf.
I have also worked extensively with marginalized communities in Canada’s only 24/7 Safe Consumption Site. As a result, I thoroughly understand the importance of community engagement and access to justice, in addition to my robust experience in the private sector.
My competence in French allows me to assist with translating French documents and providing clients the opportunity to communicate in both official languages.
