On May, 20, 2020, the City of Ottawa released the Business Reopening Toolkit to offer guidance to businesses that prepare to recommence operations safely as Ontario begins reopening the economy. The toolkit provides sector-specific information with respect to: restaurants and food services; construction; retail; arts, culture, festivals, and events; manufacturing; office; healthcare providers and personal services; agriculture; and outdoor recreation.

It also provides resources, such as recommended public health signage, the Employee Self-Screening Questionnaire, and links to additional workplace health and safety resources.

In addition to this City of Ottawa toolkit, it is recommended that businesses review the sector-specific guidelines released by the Ontario government and health and safety associations. They can be found here and here.

The Ontario government has also launched a website to inform business about personal protective equipment suppliers. This Workplace PPE Supplier Directory provides a list of Ontario companies and business associations that offer to supply personal protective equipment.
