Arbitration & ADR

Our Commercial Litigation group has significant experience with mediation, arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. In some circumstances, arbitration is contractually mandated. In others, it is preferred for its potential speed and efficiency. In our experience, arbitration can be an extremely efficient way to see disputes to conclusion; however, in the wrong circumstances arbitration can become burdensome and costly. In addition to advocating on behalf of clients within arbitrations, we assist clients in assessing whether arbitration is required or appropriate in the particular circumstances.

In the mediation context, our team members are adept negotiators who are able to identify leverage points helpful to an attempted negotiated settlement. Our pragmatic approach to litigation ensures that clients are advised about the broader implications of a proposed settlement or of continued litigation.
