Heather Austin-Skaret's practice includes residential and commercial real estate transactions and her legal skills are highly recommended by some of Ottawa's leading real estate agents and mortgage brokers, and she is a Certified TitlePlus Specialist.
In Montreal from 1988 to 1991 and in Ottawa since 1992, Mitchell has attended to the needs of his clients in the areas of real estate, wills and estates and corporate law. Over the last decade, Mitchell has assisted a number of groups of physicians, both Family Health Organizations and Family Health Teams, in structuring and organizing their medical practices. Mitchell also dispenses on-going advice to the physicians to help them manage and grow their practices.
Kevin practices primarily in the area of motor vehicle and insurance litigation. He has significant experience representing seriously injured motor vehicle accident victims and in the property and casualty and disability insurance fields. He has also developed a thriving estate litigation practice dealing with power of attorney disputes, will challenges, beneficiary rights and dependent’s relief applications.
Carol Craig joined Mann & Partners, LLP in the fall of 2013 as an experienced associate in the family law, estate litigation and employment law groups. Carol was born in San Diego, California, grew up in Balloch, Scotland, and moved with her parents to Ottawa as a teenager.
Stephen is a recent addition to the Mann & Partners, LLP team, joining the firm as counsel in 2011. For more than 36 years, Stephen has provided expert legal services to the Eastern Ontario public. The three pillars of Stephen's practice are real estate, corporations and wills and estates. In the real estate field, he is particularly recognized for his expertise in land development matters, including subdivision and condominium work on behalf of builders and developers. Stephen has also practised extensively in the field of municipal law.
Eric is a recent addition to Mann & Partner's litigation group. His practice is focused on advising businesses on diverse business disputes, including construction, contract, shareholder, administrative and employment matters. He also has extensive experience advising and assisting professionals with civil claims and regulatory proceedings.
Ted Mann has successfully built a strong commercial & residential legal practice, helping individuals with wills, estate matters and real estate issues, in addition to helping small and medium sized businesses with advice.
Mimi Marello practices in the family law practice group at Mann & Partners, LLP.
Mimi is a graduate of the University of Ottawa (B.Sc. Soc. Honours, 1996) and obtained her LL.B. from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law with distinction in 1999. Mimi was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2001.
André Martin is an integral member of the business law team at Mann & Partners, LLP. His practice areas include corporate and commercial law, business acquisitions and sales, commercial leasing, franchise law for both Franchisors and Franchisees, financing, private company securities law, technology law & licensing, and general business law.
Born in Edmonton, but raised in Ottawa, Lacey graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2007 with a B.A. in Philosophy and Business Administration. In 2011, she obtained her J.D. (with distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan. Lacey was actively involved in her law school: she was an executive member of the Community Outreach Group, she organized and led the U of S Law team at the annual CIBC Run for the Cure, and represented the University of Saskatchewan at the 2011 Davies’ Corporate Securities Moot held in Toronto. Lacey completed her articling term with a national law firm in Ottawa, prior to being called to the Bar in 2012
Nigel McCready uses his skills in civil litigation to assist people and businesses in a variety of matters, including landlord and tenant conflicts, home defect claims (including unexpected basement leaks), and contract disputes.
After completing his articles with the firm and being called to the Bar in 2010, Jason joined Mann & Partners as an associate. Jason enjoys interacting with his clients and providing them with practical and timely legal advice. His practice focuses primarily on residential and commercial real estate, as well as corporate/commercial law.
Caspar van Baal divides his practice between family law and personal injury law. He assists clients seeking fair and just compensation for injuries sustained in automobile or other accidents, and Caspar also helps clients on family law issues.
Jonathan divides his practice between family law and civil litigation at Mann & Partners. He advises and represents clients on family law matters such as property division, custody and access, child and spousal support and domestic contracts. Jonathan’s litigation practice covers all areas of civil litigation including personal injury, contract disputes, motor vehicle accidents and debt recovery.
Kathleen is a member of the family law and litigation departments at Mann & Partners. Kate can advise clients of the firm on various aspects of family law including property division, custody and access matters, support issues and domestic contracts. Her experience in litigation includes personal injury, contract disputes, and estates. Kate is an enthusiastic and compassionate advocate for her clients.
