I am a member of the Employment, Human Rights, and Labour group. I was originally drawn to labour and employment law because it affects all of us: each of us is either an employer or employee. Having worked on both the management and union/employee sides during my career, I believe that I bring a unique perspective to advising clients and resolving workplace disputes. I am passionate about the litigation process and also enjoy the day-to-day challenge of helping clients navigate all facets of the employment relationship. I have significant experience in civil litigation and a special interest in wrongful dismissal cases. I attempt to settle disputes whenever possible, but pride myself on being ready to go to court or arbitration when the situation warrants. If you are interested in reading about a few of my reported cases, please click here.
I love being on my feet, advocating for my clients. I am an active member of the Ottawa Advocacy Club. I have also completed the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop at Osgoode Hall Law School.
I grew up in Toronto and moved to Ottawa in 2004 to study. Prior to discovering the law, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then worked in the mental health field in both clinical and research settings. I graduated from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law in 2013 and was called to the Ontario Bar the following year.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my young family and catching up with friends. Outside of the law, if pressed, I would admit to an interest in Americana, cottage country, and road trips.
If I can help you resolve a workplace dispute or other difficult situation, please feel free to get in touch. Je parle français (avec un accent) et représente mes clients dans la langue de leur choix.
