Robert Bissonnette, Lawyer
I joined Mann Lawyers in July 2018. My practice areas include corporate and commercial law, corporate reorganizations, business acquisitions and sales, corporate and debt financing, private corporation securities law and general business law and as a fluently bilingual lawyer, I am able to provide services to clients in both official languages.
In 1998, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, major in economics and a minor in political science, from l’Université du Québec à Montréal. At that time, I worked for one of Canada’s leading financial institution for more than 10 years, mainly as a financial advisor, while studying full time. I then decided to pursue my passion for law and returned to l’Université du Québec à Montréal and obtained a degree in Civil Law and was called to the Bar of Quebec in 2007. I continued my education and obtained a Common Law degree from University of Ottawa in 2010 and was subsequently called to the Bar of Ontario in 2010. I have since practiced in small and mid-sized firm setting as well as in house for a financial institution.
My previous work experience provides me with the ability and the capacity to understand our client’s needs. I provide solutions and advice to our business clients that takes into consideration several aspect of their activities and of the economic environment.
I’m practical, straightforward, and results-oriented. I always aims to get to a result as efficiently and effectively as possible. I’m also responsive to my clients’ queries and I’m very approachable.
I love the outdoors and like to spend my time biking, hiking, skiing and snowshoeing. I also enjoy spending quality time with my family, with whom I share a strong passion for music.
